Covid-19 has changed a lot of things in this world and everyone is trying their best to keep up and adjust with it. Bollywood celebrities are no different as they are also trying to keep social gatherings to as minimum as possible. Given that, The Bachchans have decided to skip their extravagant Diwali party this year and here is what Abhishek Bachchan has to say about it.
According to a report by Spotboye, Abhishek said, “It’s true. We had a death in the family this year. My sister Shweta’s mother-in-law (Ritu Nanda) passed away. Besides, who hosts parties at a time like this? Civilization is going through the worst crisis ever. We all need to be as careful as possible. Observing the utmost social distance is the only option we have. And that too is not a guarantee against infection. Diwali parties and other social occasions are for now a distant dream.”
He added, “There is no guarantee of immunity just because one has gone through it. It’s all so uncertain. One has to just push along hoping for the best.”
This year, the Bachchans had also contracted the Covid-19 virus. Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek, Aishwarya Rai and her daughter Aaradhya had all tested positive for Coronavirus but after appropriate treatment now they are all back home healthy and safe. Meanwhile, Abhishek is currently promoting his upcoming movies ‘Ludo’ and ‘The Big Bull’.
