If someone should get the credit for popularising the term nepotism, then it should be none other than Kangana Ranaut. People were all praises of her when she had first used this term in the chat show Koffee with Karan. Since then, this has become her catchphrase to a lot of things. As a matter of fact, she used it as recently as on Monday to take a dig at Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
The word also found its way to Bigg Boss house this season. On Monday night, during the nomination task, singer Rahul Vaidya used it to nominate fellow contestant Jaan Kumar Sanu. For those unaware, Jaan Kumar Sanu is the son of legendary singer Kumar Sanu.
As soon as he uttered the word, there was a huge debate in the house as was expected. Rubina was the loudest to express her support to Jaan followed by Jasmin Bhasin. Later Pavitra Punia, also took this word as her cue to nominate Rahul. While the result was exactly what Rahul was going for, he also managed to hit Jaan where it exactly hurts. Right from the time, Jaan announced he was going in the house, he was being asked about his singing career and comparison with his father.
While talking to even Mumbai Live, Jaan had maintained that he would be looking at carving a niche for himself in the house. So far he has not been able to do or for that matter bring out any interesting aspect of his personality in the show.
Furthermore, Jaan also is not in the best of terms with Nishant Singh Malkhani for whom he had sacrificed being captain last week. Add to it that we will see things get ugly between him and Nikki Tamboli as they are going through a rough patch in their friendship. Things will get even worse after the captaincy task. Nikki seems to be drifting towards Rahul lately, and she has an issue that Jaan is getting influenced by other housemates and plotting games against her.
Nevertheless, will all this enable Rahul to score a brownie point this week and be one of the contestants to be safe? Well, we would be able to get the answer this weekend.
