The Indian web series are not just getting creative with subjects but also looking at various innovations to promote and connect to the target audience. One such innovation was carried out by the Zee5’s web series Comedy Couple that has Saqib Saleem and Shweta Basu Prasad in the lead.
The movie has roped in Dub Sharma to compose a song titled “Lag Gaye Hai Lauke” for the movie. The catchy funny number is now catching up with the audience.
Mumbai Live connected with Dub Sharma and Saqib Saleem to know more about this song.
Dub reveals that it was Saleem’s idea to approach him for the song. Saqib Saleem said, “I was just going through his profile on Instagram and I thought he does such amazing things with sound and we could also benefit from an interesting sound for our film. I did not want a normal song for the movie. Since this is a fun film, it needed a fun song and that is when we approached Dub”.
Dub while narrating the experience of making this song said that initially the trailer was shared with him and it had a lot of content in it for him to work around so it was easy for me to start. He also mentioned that he was given total creative freedom while composing the track.
He said, “While working with the song, the dialogues that we were working with were so normal that we will hear that every day but they are also so funny and it was interesting to work with.
For those unaware Sharma, who previously produced “Azaadi” and “Jingostan” for Zoya Akhtar’s “Gully Boy”.
