Rhea and her brother Showik Chakraborty were charged under Sections 20, 22, 27, and 29 of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act. She was sent to judicial custody till September 22. Both Rhea and her brother filed bail pleas but they were rejected by the special NDPS court.
They had approached the High Court for bail and the order is expected to come tomorrow. If the court approves bail then Rhea and Showik will be released.
